Through this General Recommendation, the Committee of Experts addresses the various acts of violence against women that are committed due to their disability and their gender, identifying patterns and measures to address them.<\/p>

Drawing attention to the disability factor enables progress in promoting the right of women to be free from violence by including this matter as an aggravating factor.<\/p>
